One Square Mile Community Music Project
The One Square Mile Community Music Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and public charity founded by American roots musician Howard Parker. The project uses musical performances, benefit concerts, and compact disc sales to raise funds and awareness for charitable causes, community building, and healing.
Mission & Activities
Charitable Giving: The organization acts as a vehicle to support various community and healing initiatives through the arts.
Roots Music: The driving artistic force behind the project is Howard Parker, whose musical style blends folk, blues, and country.
Collaborative Shows: Parker performs his original catalog (such as his album Truth Be Told) alongside other regional artists and his band to anchor the project's events.
While the project is headquartered out of Stockton, NJ, and the Greater Poconos area, its community-focused philosophy encourages grassroots musical gatherings everywhere.
If you are interested in community-driven music, are looking to join a local NY-area community music circle or if you need help organizing a musical charity event in your area, contact Howard Parker at howardparker4@comcast.net.
